the race

The Marion to Bermuda race is a 645 nautical mile open ocean race leaving from Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, and finishign off of St Davids, Bermuda. It has been in existence since the 1970’s, and runs in odd years. It is a true navigators race, dealing with tidal flows, the gulf stream, eddys, and whatever mother nature throws at us.

about roger and jeff

Roger is an RYA Yachtmaster. He has done north of 10,000 offshore miles. He is the commodore of the Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club, the host club for the finish of this great race.

Roger races inshore and offshore actively, and has done the Newport to Bermuda race twice.

When he is off the water or not working within the Bermuda sailing community, he works in investor relations for a reinsurance company in Bermuda.

Jeff has done over 5,000 miles of offshore sailing, competing in the Newport to Bermuda race twice, and the Antigua to Bermuda race once.

Jeff was diagnosed with eplisepsy while in Sydney, but he is here to challenge the stigma that something like this cannot and will not be a limiting factor to what you are capable of.

Jeff is a director for two charities in Bermuda, both of which embrace this beautiful island.

When he is off the water, Jeff is the financial controller for a life annuities comapny in Bermuda
